Friendships That Give Back
Ending one-sided friendships and finding your people
For you if you are always the one who gives, listens and organises, and you leave some friends feeling worse than when you arrived.
By the end
- A clear picture of who restores you and who drains you
- Saying no without a reason, and surviving it
- Asking for something back, once, to see what happens
- Letting a draining friendship fade, or ending it well
How it works
- Five short sessions a week, on your phone, at your own pace.
- Everything you write is saved, and read back to you at the end of each week.
- Draws on CBT, DBT interpersonal effectiveness, schema therapy, ACT, behavioural experiments. Self-help, not therapy.
This is a self-help programme, not therapy. If a friend threatens you, controls you or makes you feel unsafe, or if things are making you feel hopeless, please talk to someone you trust or to your GP. In the UK, Samaritans are free and available day and night on 116 123.
